Potato cakes - traditional Polish recipe


How to make best potato cakes? In Poland potato cases are extremely popular and I believe they bring the taste of childhood to many of us. Potato cakes are tasty, cheap and easy to make. See traditional Polish recipe for potato cakes. I hope you will enjoy it.

 Ingredients:

1.5 kg of potatoes
2 onions
4 cloves of garlic
2 eggs
2 spoons of flour
oil
salt and pepper


 Instructions:
 1. Peel the potatoes and grate them (you can use grating machine or grate it manually on a grater). Drain water (juice) from the grated potatoes. Meanwhile, grate the onion and add to potatoes. 
2. Add eggs, onion, flour and pressed garlic to the potatoes.Season it with salt and pepper. Stir the mixture to a homogeneous mass.\
3. Heat up the oil in a frying pan and form round cakes. Fry potato cakes until golden brown on each side. Potato cakes can be served with sour cream
